In the heart of the Maasai Mara lies a girls refuge centre in Kenya. 53 girls from the Maasai tribe live here with most of them having had to flee their villages in fear of their safety. At a young age, some as early as seven, the girls of the Maasai tribe go through a ceremony, Female Genital Mutilation (FGM), followed by a marriage to someone who can be eight times their senior.
The team sent will go and serve in this church run home and minister to the girls. They will also get a chance to go out into the slum areas and connect with the street children and those from the slums. A team will go door to door meeting the locals, inviting them to the various meetings for men, women, children and youth. Global Missions Ireland has built a church in the Maasai Mara which allows us to connect with this tribe.
Please come and join us to minister to this nation.
